Terms of Service

This is never the fun part of offering a service. But for everyone’s sanity, please take the time to look over the Do’s and Don’ts of requesting my services.

Commission subjects

What I am willing to draw without conditions:

  • Anything that is Safe For Work. This is identified by the following qualifications:
    • a child may view this freely without fear of legal ramifications
    • you can view this on your phone during your lunch break at work without having to explain to your boss about the depicted scenario
  • Goo
  • Furry is my typical subject matter. I do sometimes venture into more abstract ideas like fantasy landscapes or just general rendering of starscapes.

What I am willing to draw conditionally:

  • Not a lot to go here, honestly. I have drawn ‘fetish’ art such as super muscular characters and transformation with hypnosis, but these are not the usual and I very likely will not draw them again in the future.
  • Some scenes of gore or violence, but never to the extreme. Blood and violence may appear in artwork in a combat scenario. It will never be in a sexual context.
  • Religious art. This is a HUUUUUGE conditional subject. I realize not everyone follows the same beliefs as myself, and I’m willing to be a little lenient in terms of this subject. But please do note the following conditions:
    • it must remain respectful of other religions (yes, fellow Christians, you must not depict yourself as better than someone else or belittle another religion. Just as Jesus called us to love people who don’t agree with us, I’m calling on you to do the same.)
    • as I am a Christian myself, I cannot endorse the beliefs of other religions. Certain symbols (Baphomet, pentagram, etc.) are not something I personally want to align with, even in terms of my art services. These will have to be declined.

What I absolutely will never draw:

  • Adult oriented content. This is EVERYTHING that must be marked for adult consumption only. Sexual content, nudity, etc. I do not indulge in adult subjects and all requests of this nature will be denied.
  • Extreme gore or violence
  • Fetishes (sexual or otherwise). I am just not comfortable drawing content like this.
  • Political content. I don’t care if your views align with mine. Politics has no place in my artwork, as I view it as an escape from the bleak reality we all find ourselves in. Please do not request this sort of content. It will always be instantly denied.
  • Gender ideology. Same arguments as with politics. My art is a reprieve from the propaganda (however you define it). I will not glorify or berate concepts of this nature.

Payments, Payment Plans and Refunds

Payments and Payment Plans

Payments are required upfront before any real work begins. I will do a sketch for free with multiple edits so you can get a feel for what my brain is conceptualizing, but once the sketch has been approved, payment must process before I begin on the real work.

My primary source for commissions is through Ko-Fi. You’ll find various listings already on my commissions page there. If there is something not listed that you want to commission me for, you can reach out to me via the Contact page here on the website and I will get back to you typically within 2 business days. Custom orders will be handled via whatever communication method is easiest for you, and I will generate an invoice to be emailed to you for payment.

Payment plans are available if you cannot pay a large lump sum in one go, but I would request they be limited to no longer than one month to pay off. Having it delayed longer will cause me to put a hold on your account which will prevent me from offering services until your account is paid in full.

Payment methods available:

  • Paypal: @fmcarts
  • Venmo: @fmcarts
  • CashApp: $fullmetalchozo
  • Stripe is enabled on Ko-Fi for direct credit card payment

Refunds

Refunds are available for work that has not been started or completed when you request the refund. For example, if you had to request a refund on a work that is flat colored but I’ve already started inking the piece, you would receive a refund for the flat color portion only. Inking would not be refunded in this case as it had already been started.

Refunds may also be issued in the event I find your professionalism unsatisfactory. Again, a refund would be issued based on what portions of the work had not been started yet. Should you decline the refund or continue to persist in your unprofessional behavior, I will consider the refund void and keep the funds as payment for damages caused. If this is the reason for the discussion of a refund, you will need to find another artist as I have no time in my day to deal with unprofessional behavior.

The Do’s

  • Do be patient. I pride myself on communicating with my clients regarding their works and showing timely works in progress. Please have patience and don’t pester me every day about the work.
  • Do let me know what your deadline is if this is a gift. In most cases, my commissions can be completed within a couple business days, but sometimes things take a little bit longer. Please be aware that there will be a rush fee if you need a gift commission for someone two days before their birthday or a holiday. I’d prefer to have a full two weeks of working time before the hard deadline.
  • Do be understanding of current life situations. Sometimes things come up and I have to put comms on hold. I will always do my best to communicate when things have to be put on hold.
  • Do be receptive of communication. I always do my best to let my clients know the progress of their commissions. I will not be able to issue refunds if you have not been aware of the communications I’ve sent back and forth for confirmation. This is why I always ask for what your preferred method of contact is.
  • Do provide clear references of your character. Reference sheets are preferred if you have one, but I will accept anything that shows a good representation of the character you want me to draw. NSFW references are fine too.

The Don’ts

  • Don’t harass me daily for progress updates. I do my best to provide WIPs (works in progress) communications each day after I’m done working at the bare minimum. I often times send screenshots along as I work on certain stages of the commission. This should help negate the need to ask for daily progress updates, so please don’t do this.
  • Don’t ignore my communications. I pride myself on letting my customers know how the progress on their work is coming along. Please don’t ignore my communications with you regarding this. I politely request that we communicate via whatever method is most convenient for you. I have Telegram, Discord, Twitter, email and several art websites with which I can use to communicate. Please tell me which is easiest for you to use for this purpose.
  • Don’t be under 18. I know this is a weird request given that my art is always safe for minors, but with money exchanging hands, this is more for my own protection than for any other legal reason. I have heard stories of kids using their parents’ credit cards for commissions only to have the charges reversed when the parents/guardians see the unrecognized charge. This would cause me issues that I just don’t want to deal with, so please understand that I will not take paid work from anyone under 18.
  • Don’t be “that guy” who expects me to magically find colors without the eyedropper tool. Now, not everyone does this and I understand this is a VERY fringe case, but please do not gripe at me for using a tool to help ensure I get the most accurate colors of your character off of their reference sheet. Absolutely NO refunds will be given for this excuse, so just please don’t even consider this.
  • Don’t complain about my prices. I try my best to keep my work reasonably priced given that this is my only source of income to help supplement my husband’s. Cost of living in my area is astronomically high, so my prices must reflect a living wage as well as make up for the time and skills I’ve honed for my craft. If full payment up front is a problem, please talk with me. I would be happy to offer a payment plan that works with your current situation.
